Affiliate Marketing means selling other people’s products, It is similar to owning a store in a way but without having to buy the item yourself and then sell, without owning a store and all the expenses that come along with that.

You can’t simply just promote any product and hope to get a commission out of it. You need to make sure if that product allows affiliate marketers to sell it and provides a good commission on that.

What is Affiliate Link?
An affiliate link is simply a unique tracking URL (Link) you get for yourself which you use to promote the product. Because remember everything is online, how would the product owner know that you helped make the sale?
So, the affiliate link has a unique tracking ID at the end of it to let the owner know that the sale has come through you and the commission gets added to your account (Affiliate Dashboard).

You see how many numbers are there, they all are tracking numbers for different reasons. You will hardly see such links around the web because these links look ugly and spammy.

How to get started with affilaite marketing?
Niche Selection:
If you don’t already have a YouTube channel or a blog, then the first step should be to choose a niche that you see fit best to promote.
Don’t worry, you don’t necessarily need to promote affiliate products with a YouTube channel or a blog, there are various other FREE ways as well.
A niche simply means a topic, like Health & Fitness. Now, this particular subject is quite broad and has a lot of competition.
So there is a different thing, Sub-niche: simply put sub-topic. Break down a niche into many of its sub-topic.

How to choose a niche:
Look for your area of expertise + Your Interest + and something that would sell good or that would be useful for people.

I won’t go too deep into promoting and keep it simple for newbies and give you all practical advice that would help you to earn for real and not some BS methods that don’t work.

Yes, the ones you may have seen many mobile apps use, they ask you to share the link for this app to your friends and when they install the ‘app’ you get a dollar or two commission.
